Marriage Retreat
(self directed or guided)
Someone has said that the best thing we can do for our family is to stay deeply in love with our spouse. Take some time away, just the two of you, to keep the flames of affection glowing warm and bright.
In this busy society in which we live, it is very easy to drift apart. We can each get caught up in our own worlds and forget to be attentive to each other. Don’t let that happen to you. Give each other the time and attention needed. In the midst of the beauty of God’s creation, this is certainly a place for romance.
Enjoy the crackle of the fire in the wood stove, as you watch the tides rise and fall. Dream.
Sit side by side on the deck and listen to the waves. Breathe.
Take a long slow walk: along the ridge, on the woodland trails or on the beach. Listen.
Find your own secret spot with your own priceless view. Talk.
Luxuriate in the double soaker tub. Refresh.
Climb into your cozy bed. Connect.
